NEET – Not in Education, Employment (or work-based learning) or Training

The role of Youth Service is to support young people 16 to 17 years-of-age who are not active in either education, training or work-based learning, or are at risk of becoming disengaged. We introduce them to the opportunities in the community and tautoko (support) their journey towards furthering their skill base. We have contacts with private training establishments (PTEs), tertiary providers and schools.
